Pinley 13 Manor Park 7
This was an evenly matched game with both teams testing each other. Park scored a 1st half try and Pinley responded with a Glenn Burnside penalty. With Pinley hit by a host of injuries Steve Hinds returned at fly half and set Luke Stratton up for an unconverted try. Pinley played the 2nd half in the Manor Park half and were awarded a try from Tim White for their constant pressure.
Evesham 20 Pinley 25
Pinley travelled to Evesham for the first time and came away with a deserved win. Pinley started the game the stronger team and played the game in the oppositions half. but Pinley paid the price for missed tackles as Evesham scored the first try of the game running in a try from their own twenty-two the try was converted but Pinley responded with a penalty from Mickey Parker. This was followed up by a try from Rich Eden after an excellent passing move started by man of the match Mickey Moore. Parker converted this try Evesham came back with a penalty and an unconverted try before half time. 15-10 at half time. Pinley forwards put constant pressure on the Evesham pack and were awarded a try from Anthony Eden, Justin Messam added another unconverted try followed by Mickey Parker intercepting a pass on the half way and running in the unconverted try underneath the posts. Pinley played just under 30 minutes with 14 players with Joe Marsden, Chris Payne and Matty Clarke spending time in the sin bin. Evesham scored the final try with the last move of the game.
Pinley 12 Redditch 13
Joe Marsden scored a try for Pinley with the last move of the game but the try was not converted which meant Pinley lost this tight game. Again the Pinley forwards dominated the opposions pack through out the game. Redditch scored a converted try in the first half and added two penaltys in the second half. Pinley were awarded a penalty try which was converted and then the Marsden try.
Worcester students 22 Pinley 0
Pinley missing several players did not get into this game until the last 20 minutes but by that time Worcester students had already done the damage. it was a very dissapointing display by the pinley team.
Pinley 19 Coventry Welsh 17
Pinley welcomed back captain Justin Messam who inspired the team to get back onto winning ways. Pinley started the match the stronger and scored the first points of the match with a good forward move being finished off by Antony Eden, converted by Paul Gill. Cov Welsh then came into the game scoring two converted tries. In the second half Pinley Michael Moore moved onto the wing which resulted in him scoring an unconverted try and then Stephen Thompson intercepted a pass from halfway and ran in a try between the post converted by Gill.
EDF TROPHY Pinley 24 Ecclesshall 5
All the points came in the first half as Pinley went out and dominated the half 2 tries from hooker Richard Eden where followed by tries from Jon Powers and Christopher Hope(playing his first game of the season). Carl Rogers also playing his first game kicked 2 conversions. In the second half again Pinley dominated but where unable to break down a solid defence. Pinley had to reshuffle the team for the last 10 minutes as they had 3 players sin binned. The 12 left on the park defended as Ecclesshall tried to break them down.
